Second week still starting slow but feeling good!
Day 1 Monday (December 27, 2010): Taught my 0530 spin class. The class today was more of an endurance ride. The effort level was around 70% of HR max. Nice long “slower” intervals. Did a couple of passing drills to get a little heart rate spike.
11:00 Lunch work out, slow run. 20-min on treadmill at a 6.0 pace. HR average 77%

Day 2 Tuesday (December 28, 2010): 11:00 Lunch workout 1-hr walking on treadmill about 3.2 miles total. Again not the most entertaining workout but I listen to a book on tape during these workouts; I highly recommend doing this on a long slow work out. Info from work out is:

Total time – 1- hr

First 20 minutes – 3.8 MPH pace at a 3% incline average HR 67%
Second 20 minutes – 3.5 MPH pace at 1% incline average HR 72%Last 20 minutes – 3.5 MPH pace at 0% incline average HR 62%

1850 bootcamp class – High Intensity Training (HIT) workout. Great workout! Some highlights are:

90 push-ups
90 Squat jumps
90 Kettle bell swings
Shoulder press (3 sets about 10 to 12 reps)
Upright rows (3 sets about 10 to 12 reps)
Squats (3 sets about 10 to 12 reps)
Clean and Jerks (these are lighter weight and conducted much faster than Olympic style lifting)

Day 3 Wednesday (December 29, 2010):
Driving to Crested Butte Colorado for three days of snowboarding.
Day 4, 5, and 6 Thursday (December 23, 2010):

PLAY – Snowboarding
